Why Teles?

When we first opened our doors in November 2007, the mortgage crisis was beginning to unfold and signs of a downturn in real estate were all around us. The most common question we were asked is, “Why would anyone open a real estate company right now?” Well, we knew the timing was absolutely perfect. We anticipated big changes in the real estate industry as big companies had become too vast and impersonal. It was time to present a high-end boutique unlike any other. We planned to attack the status quo on all fronts, using our experience and energy to make our goals a reality. Through our unrivaled agent support, we enabled Teles agents to provide clients with an extraordinary level of service and professionalism. Finally, we knew our directed use of technology would give us a tremendous advantage. Why Teles? Because we have created a whole new dimension in luxury real estate that is destined to lead the industry well into the future.

One principal is an acclaimed international attorney. Another, a highly respected real estate leader. Also on the team, are a finance and mortgage expert and a technology entrepreneur turned Wall Street banker. Together, with our experienced agents, research experts, marketing specialists, and technology leaders, we create the industry’s most formidable and experienced brain trust.

Peter Loewy | Chairman & CEO

Peter H. Loewy, Teles Properties chairman and CEO, is an international attorney who began his career with Fragomen Del Rey Bernsen and Loewy LLP, one of the world’s largest immigration law firms. After managing a number of the firm’s domestic offices, leading to its international growth and eventual placement among the American Law Top 200 law firms, he achieved tenure as managing partner. As CEO of real estate development firm Lowy Armstrong LLC, Loewy directed projects all over California for over 20 years. During that time, the firm acquired and managed diverse real estate investments, including commercial and residential leaseholds, high-end residential development and renovation projects and larger-scale housing projects.

Sharran Srivatsaa | President

Sharran Srivatsaa serves as the co-president of Teles Properties. In addition to building the most advanced agent service platform in the industry, Srivatsaa’s focus includes corporate growth strategy and client advisory. A sought after speaker and respected thought-leadership resource for top publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times, Srivatsaa is also a principal of an angel investment firm that invests in “real estate enabling technology” companies.

Prior to Teles, Srivatsaa worked at both Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse, where he collaborated with management teams of fast-growing businesses around the country on investment advisory and corporate strategy. A member of the Young Presidents Organization, Srivatsaa, who spent several years building recreational programs in the Caribbean, Middle East, and Hawaii for some of the finest international resorts such as the Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton, also has considerable experience working at technology companies such as Lightera (acquired by CIENA) and Obopay, a fast-growth mobile payments company.

Sharran received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Luther College and his MBA with Honors from Vanderbilt University. Sharran lives in Orange County with his family.

Peter Hernandez | President & Founder

Peter Hernandez is co-president of Teles Properties. He oversees branch management, marketing, brokerage and transactional management, and agent recruitment. Hernandez began his career in 1970 at the family firm Hernandez Realty, the leading agency in Marina Del Rey. He joined Jon Douglas Company in 1983 and worked as a top-producing agent until 1988, when he began his management career, Hernandez was responsible for overseeing several offices for both Jon Douglas and Coldwell Banker as a branch manager, and was later promoted to regional manager. Most recently, Hernandez served as president and COO for Coldwell Banker in Orange County where he managed 17 offices and increased the sales force to approximately 1,100 agents in less than five years. During his tenure he successfully implemented three acquisitions: Dyson and Dyson Company, the Balboa Real Estate Company and Strada Properties.

Evan Ageloff | Chief Operating Officer

Evan Ageloff is Teles’ chief operating officer, responsible for the development of the firm’s financial management strategy and the continuous pursuit of operational excellence. With expertise in finance and operational management focusing on process and scalability, Ageloff brings leadership experience and an impressive professional track record in real estate, technology, banking, mortgage and insurance. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Queens University, where he is in the University’s Hall of Fame, a master’s degree in applied science from the University of Denver and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Ageloff serves on the Advisory Council Board for Music for Relief, a charitable disaster relief organization working to reduce global warming.
